Cosworth brake pads all feature: Coloured black & branded Cosworth on the backing plate. 2 different specifications of material grades required to meet the different driving applications being used. All brake pads are scorched to a temperature above 600oC to assist with an accelerated “bed-in” or “seating” and so dramatically reducing warm up time. A 1.5mm granulated inter-layer – unusual in brake pad design but is important in our design as it helps by acting as a shock absorber for surface impact as well as providing triple bond strength to eliminate pad lift from the backing plate. In addition the inter-layer also helps to improve the pedal feel, adding to control. “Vee” groove expansion technology to accelerate dust & debris clearance giving a more consistent, predictable braking action as well as reducing any occurrence of pad crack. All Cosworth brake pads are fitted with premium quality shim hardware which delivers “silent running” technology.
