TDi North, the sister company to Torque Developments International Plc, is pleased to announce a change of management at its successful Warrington based tuning facility. As of the 11^th January 2010 Paul West has been appointed Managing Director of TDi-North, having previously been employed at TDi North in a workshop and trackside focused role.

“I am sure that this appointment further strengthens the already excellent team at TDi-North, which has been behind some of the most successful high performance tuned Japanese cars since 2004,” says TDi-Plc Chairman Mark Catchpole.

TDi North’s facilities include a 4wd drive chassis dynomometer rated to 1600bhp, a fully equipped workshop and accreditation from the US based EFI University – commonly regarded as the bench mark qualification amongst tuning companies.

As used on the forthcoming Civic Type R MUGEN, Torque Developments International Plc is pleased to announce that leading Japanese tuning house MUGEN has launched a set of ‘Assist Meter’ gauges for the European FN2 model of the Honda Civic Type R.

Designed to accurately monitor water temperature, oil temperature and oil pressure parameters, the MUGEN Assist Meter gauges easily convey the information to the driver using conventional style analogue readouts.

However, advanced MUGEN electronics technology has enabled the Assist Meters to offer considerably more user information than ordinary gauges. That’s because thanks to a supplied multifunction control box, the MUGEN Assist Meters offer users the ability to:- 

• Preset their own warning light levels
• Record and playback readings
• Easily view maximum readings with ‘Peak’ button and illuminated ‘Peak’ lights

Developed and tested by MUGEN’s Japanese engineers to OEM standards of performance and durability, the new MUGEN Honda Civic Type R FN2 Assist Meters are designed to use a special MUGEN gauge hood to ensure, neat and simple installation and maximum visibility for the driver.

Japanese Honda tuning house MUGEN is delighted to release its latest performance enhancement in the form of a quick shifter gear mechanism for the six speed Civic Type R FN2.

The new MUGEN FN2 quick shifter features a 10mm shorter gear lever, which, allied to a more rigid rubber mounting, reduces the amount of movement required by the driver and cuts the amount of time taken to swap ratios. The results are an improved feel during gearshifts and a more tactile, direct, involving driving experience.
