Made from aircraft grade stainless steel, the HKS Evo X Super Turbo Muffler is going to use 75mm diameter pipework, with 124mm diameter tailpipes boasting a smart titanium blue finish.

HKS has specifically designed the new Evo X Super Turbo Muffler with a low exhaust resonance and interior noise, but it’s suitable for highly tuned engines up to 500bhp.

The new HKS Super Turbo Muffler exhaust system for the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VII, VIII and IX (including MR models) is designed under the following specification:

• Low back pressure with quiet sound levels
• Suitable for stock power levels to high power vehicles with large turbo
• Low sound level for comfortable street driving
• Highlighting the distinct sound of the engine under acceleration

The HKS Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII, VIII and IX (7,8 and 9 CT9A, including MR models) exhaust system is a 75mm diameter straight design. There are no narrow sections in the main silencer or tail pipe to reduce exhaust gas back pressure. The pipe layout is as straight as possible for ideal exhaust gas flow efficiency, while the inner slit shape uses silencer effect slits to reduce noise by approximately 2dB.

Sound level and frequency were analyzed both inside and outside the cabin so that it does not prevent conversations and would not cause noise problem outside. In addition, low frequency “drone” noise was reduced to prevent uncomfortable noise inside and outside cabin.
